Episode 53: Appearances Can Be Deceiving

Sonia C. and Sabrina are broadcasting from London today while Sonia T. joins them from New Orleans. The ladies have had clients come to them who were self-conscious and comparing themselves to others. They self-doubt themselves while saying they don’t want to compete with others because they are not worthy enough. Today, they debunk this topic and talk about what comparing yourself to others does.   This week’s theme is about: How not to compare yourself to others.   Highlights:  We compare ourselves to others from the outside, not the inside. [2:20] Our job is not to compare with one another but to champion one another. [6:35] The reason why a lot of people are so entrenched with their egos is because there is no one reflecting their spirit back to them. [9:30] One way to find your confidence is to genuinely support other people and celebrate them. [10:45] Our words have power. We either lift someone up or shoot them down. [14:40] Jealousy is a wise emotion if we let it be. [18:05] Everybody who is on social media is jealous of everyone else in social media. [24:10] We need to be more interested in others rather than being interesting. [26:30] We need to be real, not nice. We can be kind and gracious but we don’t need to put up appearances. [32:35] Tool of the week. [38:00] Question of the week. [40:10]   Comparison is the thief of joy and appearances can be deceiving. It’s vital to be mindful to not compare ourselves to other people. When we compare ourselves to others, our egos get hurt thinking we are missing something of what others have. We should not let our egos fake out our spirit because our truly intuitive spirit doesn’t compare.   When we learn that someone else’s light does not take away yours, we can celebrate one another. We all have our unique yet complementary abilities and gifts and it is important to reflect that to one another.
