Airbnb’s CEO is leaving his home to live in Airbnbs across the country… because CEOs are now Chief Cheerleading Officers. The US Postal Service just set up a website to send you 4 free Covid tests. Benchmark Litigation, and produced by The Hangar Studios, NYC

Sam Franklin of Lightfoot Franklin & White

Sam Franklin is a partner of Lightfoot Franklin & White, the Birmingham, Alabama litigation boutique he co-founded in 1990. Franklin has devoted himself to trying cases since the earliest days in the practice, cutting his teeth on small local cases and working his way to the level of the bet-the-company cases he is best known for and still tries today. A dyed-in-the-wool all-purpose generalist, over the course of his 40+ year career Franklin has triumphed in groundbreaking cases (in class and individual actions) that have been as novel as they have been varied and have often set legal precedent. A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Franklin is revered not only by a near-unanimous number of Alabama peers but is also recognized nationally. Franklin is also a noted authority in appeals as well as trials, and his prowess in this specialty has also forged new law in Alabama. Far from content to rest on his laurels after

What will the competition for talent hold in store for 2022?

Of all the issues employers will face in 2022, talent recruitment, retention, and management will likely be among the top. This will be true in major corporations, small businesses, professional services like law firms and tax & accounting firms, and even government agencies. While some common thread can be found as to how talent questions might impact each of these employer groups, each will also face somewhat unique circumstances as well, based on their particular place in the market. 🔸Inside Orthopedics

Tiger Buford

#42 - Anatomy of a startup - Q&A with Bill Hunter, CEO of Canary Medical (55 mins)

I predicted about the coming of Smart Implants on OrthoStreams back in 2012.
Today, Bill Hunter and his small team at Canary are actually doing it. They are bringing “talking” orthopedic implants to market that can predict problems before the patient even knows there is a problem.  FDA clearance is imminent. Zimmer is “all-in” with this new technology in their flagship TKA brand.
Listen and learn more about how Canary is ushering in the future of orthopedics with the first true smart implants.
