The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Repacks; Plus Long-Awaited Interview with Pokemon Card Collector Roy on the Booming Market (And the Basics of Collecting/Flipping Pokemon Cards)

EPISODE 177 - Clark, Hyung, and John open the show discussing the controversial topic of repacks - the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Then they welcome their good friend and go-to Pokemon card collector Roy who is there to help answer many of their Pokemon-related questions.
While the sports card market is down, there are big gains being made from buying and selling Pokemon cards. So Roy was invited to help the guys learn the basics of Pokemon cards, what characters and cards are popular, which sets are iconic and rare, common terminology used by Pokemon card collectors, and much more.
Then Roy sticks around with the boys to play their regular "Pick 1" segment where they are given two players or cards and subsequently debate which one they would rather invest in.
Roy starts things off by asking whether they would rather have a $10K Pokemon card that continues to grow in value but they can never sell, or a $2K sports card they could do whatever with. Hyung asks if the Jackson Chourio 1st Bowman Chrome autograph card is a better investment or the Ronald Acuna 1st Bowman Chrome autograph card at double the price; and John puts up the Frank Thomas NNOF error card PSA 10 (Pop 1) vs. the Derek Jeter SP Foil PSA 10 (Pop 21).
