Big Hobby Goal for 2024 Announced!; Examining 2023 Sports Card/TCG Value Trends and Predicting the Future; Brainstorming New Hobby Ideas (ie. Alternate Reality Cards?)

EPISODE 183 - Clark, John, and Will start the first show of 2024 (and Season 4 of the podcast) by stating each of their hobby goals for the year. Clark starts first with a big announcement for the pod!
Then for Hobby Headlines, the guys examine the trends in sports card sales over the past year using CardLadder data (ie. big drop in value of Marvel cards, and the four major North American sports) and discuss whether they think that trend will continue in 2024.
Afterwards, Clark, John, and Will brainstorm new ideas to make the hobby more interesting in the "Just A Thought" segment.
Finally, the guys play "Pick 1" with Will putting up a "Discard" error card from the Disney Lorcana set vs. a Charizard 1st Edition (PSA 7); John makes up a scenario where the Shohei Ohtani Topps Now card signed by himself and Mike Trout is put up against the Ohtani Bowman Chrome superfractor; Clark puts up the Sidney Crosby Young Guns rookie card vs. Alexander Ovechkin Young Guns rookie – both PSA 10.
