Relax deeply, my love,

And know you’re safe inside.

The roof is protecting you tonight,

As you lay comfortably underneath it.

Ready for sleep,

And soothed by the soft melody of the rain,

gently falling onto the rooftop.

So drop your shoulders,

And relax your cheeks.

And release all the tension you feel.

Let your arms fall heavy,

And your legs sink into the bed,

And ease your back into comfort.

PAUSE…

Breathe…

And settle deeper into your sheets.

Finding moments of stillness as your breath slows you down. 

PAUSE…

See if you can stay here,

In these moments of stillness.

These pauses between your breaths.

And let the silence in these moments,
 
Allow you to hear the rain falling gently on the roof.

LONG PAUSE…

Let each drop soften you,

Relax you,

And melt you further into the night.

LONG PAUSE…

Let the rhythm of the falling rain soothe you,

And remind you that Mother Nature is here to nourish you,

To replenish you,

And ease you safely into deep sleep.
