#20: Hector Alexander Serrano, why do we need to talk about water in Latin America?

Release Date:

What role does water play in the Gender-Climate-Nexus, how are people affected differently and why is a good interaction between politics and business essential? For one whole month we’ll be answering these questions and focussing exclusively on the Gender-Climate-Water-connection.
My first guest in this month is Hector Alexander Serrano from Mexico. Hector is a Senior Water Resource Management Specialist at The World Bank and Co-leading the World Bank’s Latin American initiatives on Water Security and Waste to Resource. He is leader and collaborator in numerous water initiatives in Latin America and has over 10 years experience. We talk about how his childhood led him to where he is today, why water matters and about water initiatives the World Bank is executing.

Check out the Water Matters report about Resilient, Inclusive and Green Growth through Water Security in Latin America published by the World Bank here: https://openknowledge.worldbank.org/handle/10986/37214 .
