#18: Sofia Castelo, why do women and girls need separate attention when designing public spaces?

The world is constructed for men – we need to change that. One person changing it is Sofia Castelo: Sofia is the Director for Climate & Environmental Resilience at Think City, having a vast background in landscape architecture. She is also a Co-founder of the NGO “mulheres na arquitetura” aiming to empower women in the public space and the architecture profession. In this episode we discuss what's the climate catastrophe like in Malaysia, how she conducted the nature-based climate adaptation programme for the urban areas of Penang Island and why women and girls need separate attention when designing public spaces.
