Whatever you're doing in life, do that. Do not do other things. Otherwise, how will you have the necessary awareness required to pay attention to the challenges in your life? How will you be self-aware enough to notice when you are being fanatical? How will you be aware of your own ill-intent towards others (black magic)? How will you notice when there is ego surfacing amidst relationships? How will you meditate deep within yourself if you cannot even pay regular attention to the surface of your daily life? We must cultivate the sense of Zen if we want to succeed in anything.
