She has 20 years of experience as an Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner and is currently working as an innovation specialist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in their Primary Care Network.
In this episode we will be examining Gun Violence Prevention with an Acute Care lens from the Emergency Department.  Specifically, we will be looking at gun safety as a suicide prevention strategy and how community outreach differs in the Emergency Department.  We will be talking with Kate Donches, Chief resident of the pediatric residency program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and life-long Philly native.
