Empathy and Sympathy

Empathy saved me but sympathy was a first part of my progress of allowing myself to feel empathy. Learning what empathy is vs sympathy. I think it's important to learn what they are? Can you have one without the other? Can you have empathy for all? We all struggle to use empathy at times when we feel it's going to hurt. How do we open ourselves but also protect ourselves? How do we learn to see heaven in hell and is that even possible? Forgiveness is so powerful as it releases YOU from the situation and frees them from your perspective. It doesn't mean you condone the action in fact forgiveness and empathy allow real healing of very hard trauma. Fear can't be your master.  Who do you struggle to have empathy for? I have my own people and I have learned a powerful lesson by allowing empathy to work for you. WE ALL ARE EMPATHS. 
Empathy for joy. Empathy for love. There is also all the wonderful emotions we share as empaths when we allow. We mirror each other so lets make the object something like love? 
So use that knowledge. Learn to heal yourself and forgive and allow others to do the same. What a great discussion on empathy. It's a subject very much needed for people like me that have hurt and been hurt.
