Today we continue on with our book tour. I am introducing you to a person who I highly respect as one of the strongest voices in the conversation around leadership and power: Gail Rudolph. Gail wrote an acclaimed book called Power Up Power Down after spending years in executive and leadership roles all over the United States and world.  Gail is truly a powerhouse. Already being accomplished within her own right, she is also now on mission to help those who feel overlooked and underestimated. She helps them to tap into their own unique power, expertise, perspectives, and opinions so they can be heard and valued in every interaction.  Today, Gail shares many lessons from her book and personal experience with power dynamics. She teaches us how to practically power up and power down by explaining various tools and when to use them. Tune in to learn all about power and how you can use it in every situation you find yourself in. In this episode, you will hear: What motivated Gail through the writing process. When she first became aware that she had to shift the environment she was in. Her personal history with power. What powering up and powering down actually mean. The three levels of power. Why boundaries are key. Why power is a choice. Specific things you can do to either power up or power down. The power of pausing and silence.
