Start A Lifelong Apprenticeship

Release Date:

Previously, we discussed why mentorship matters and how to pick a good mentor. But your mentor is not your pro-bono life coach; the work is on you. That work is more akin to "apprenticeship." Being a lifelong apprentice means you learn through doing, through mistakes, through questions... and you never stop.

But we're not talking about working in a printshop, for a silversmith, or a baker (though those all sound amazing). At as if you are an apprentice today. Ask questions. Seek guidance and get feedback on your work. Drop the notion of superiority and get engaged with learning... and maybe blacksmithing.
