S1-E18 || Almi Nerurkar || Running, With A Global Perspective

Release Date:

Same sport different countries - how do things differ?
This episode I talk with Almi Nerurkar, a very talented runner, University of Leeds languages student, and someone who has lived and trained abroad. She shares some of her thoughts and experiences of the running culture in both Ethiopia, and Spain.
She shares her running journey, which includes a dabble in triathlon, and time in Africa, Asia, and Europe. She offers some insight into potential barriers for women in running in different areas of the globe. Definitely a topic which deserves an episode in its own right.
She talks us through how she balanced running and training with taking the opportunities she has had for travel and new experiences. Almi offers her reflections on her running journey so far and what she is looking forward to in the future.
