We discuss the 2021 World Series briefly before Josh tells Tom about the 1919 Chicago White Sox... a team notorious for eight of its players taking money from gamblers to throw the world series. Their story was kept alive by the movie Eight Men Out and star leftfielder Shoeless Joe Jackson was further immortalized in the movie Field of Dreams. Josh digs more into the story, highlighting more of the roster, the sad story of Buck Weaver who got suspended with the gamblers because he wasn't a snitch, and how the scandal brought about the tenure of legendary baseball villain Kennesaw Mountain Landis.
