Nick Offerman plays one of the original McDonald brothers and they not only don’t ever see eye-to-eye with Ray Kroc, but Kroc ends up out witting them and pushing them out of the business altogether. The lesson here for me is, If you’re a founder and you find a great CEO who can do the job better than you, get out of the way and take the profits right to the bank.Cale and I also talked about growing up playing baseball and some possible business lessons from arguably the best hitter in the game, Ted Williams. Williams was obsesses with stats and science of how to optimize his swing and batting average. He labeled the strike zone with ball placement from 200-400. Sure, he could hit a ball that was in the zone a little high and inside but it would only yield a .310 average. What Williams was waiting for was the pitch chest high down the middle that he could hit every time for .400.  My conversation with Cale is definitely chalked full of lessons and worth a listen.
