The Revealing of Him

TozerWe are starting out in the most natural place in scripture I can think of when studying what God is like, things he does, things he surrounds himself with. So naturally, let’s start with The Revelation (or the revealing) of Jesus Christ which is found in the book of Revelation.This also happens to be the most attribute heavy book I’ve found so far in the bible, so it may take a while to get through this one. But we’re going to start with verses 1-4.The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne -Revelation 1:1-4 (ESV) This Week's List:1. God has servants2. God shows his servants future events3. God sends angels4. He gives favour or blessing when you read Revelation out loud5. He gives favour or blessing when you listen to it being read.6. He gives favour or blessing when you take heed of the words, or live a your life in a way that reflects what is contained in the book of Revelation7. He distributes grace and peace8. He was and is and is to come (This could probably be broken up into 3 if you would like. This will also be the focus of my song of the week)9.
