This week’s guest is Nick Firchau, producer & host of Paternal, a podcast that explores & shares new paths to fatherhood. Nick, Amy & John consider the consequence of not having a positive paternal figure in man’s life & how those models are passed down to their own parenting. Amy shares her experience growing up with 13 siblings, the differences between her mothers & fathers parenting workload & how her relationship with her father changed after puberty. They discuss the normalization of therapy, the power of putting ego aside & why the goal of Paternal is to make better, less toxic people. 
We open the show with Amy’s childhood experience of playing basketball with her brothers & how her shirtless mimicry got her in confusing trouble. Are our dreams death premonitions? Amy shares her dreams prior to both her siblings deaths & John recounts his dreams following his mother, father & sisters death.
