Maine’s Grand Slam

On this episode of The Nomadic Outdoorsman Dan talks with Erin Merrill, an outdoorswoman, writer and one of the few people to ever accomplish Maine’s Grand SlamErin started hunting 20 years ago with her Dad. Since that time, they have spent countless hours in the woods stalking whitetails. In 2021, Erin was drawn for a moose tag and set the goal to get her Grand Slam - taking a turkey, bear, moose and deer within the same calendar year. She trapped her bear in early September, followed by an incredible moose hunt at the end of September into early October.
