Episode 9: The Week Ending June 29, 1974, Billy Don’t Be a Streaker

You know we don’t have a mean streak and far be it from us to rock the boat, but could this week’s episode be our Waterloo? Maybe we are already gone. Perhaps we need to be thankful for what we’ve got and realize all we really need is the air that we breathe. Come Monday, we may just decide we haven’t got time for the pain and if we wanna to get to rock and roll heaven, we gotta keep on smiling and finally get ourselves together by sundown. Working at the carwash may not need to give us the blues, after all, with all those people coming through, perhaps love is on the radar, and we’ll find somebody to make us feel brand new. This week we are taking care of business by checking out the AT40 countdown from the week of June29, 1974. This show differed from the actual Billboard chart for that week, but don’t worry, don’t try and be a hero, just sit back, relax, and let us worry about which song fell where. We promise not to lose that number.
