Episode 56: Ozu Week 1 (The Marriage Circle + The Freshman)

On episode #56 of Floating Through Film, we start our new series that was picked by Dany, Yasujirō Ozu! Before starting with Ozu's own films next week, we start with two films from early Hollywood to help us get a brief glimpse into the context of films that Ozu himself was watching and influenced by. The two films are both from giants of this early American period in film, Ernst Lubitsch's 1924 film The Marriage Circle, and Harold Lloyd's 1925 film, The Freshman. We hope you enjoy!.
