Dingman Professor of Surgery within the Section of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan. Notably, he served as the Section Head for Plastic Surgery from 2001 to 2012 and spearheaded the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program at Michigan from 2001 to 2009.   His research interests center around skeletal muscle and peripheral nerve physiology in the context of reconstructive surgery, a field in which he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers across a broad range of topics. Dr. Kuzon is a sought-after speaker, having delivered keynote lectures at numerous universities and scientific gatherings.   Actively engaged in his professional community, Dr. Kuzon holds memberships in several national specialty societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (currently serving on the Board of Directors), the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation (currently serving as the president-elect), The American Association of Plastic Surgeons (currently serving as vice-president), The Plastic Surgery Research Council (currently serving as Historian), the American Society for the Peripheral Nerve (having served as past president), the Michigan Association of Plastic Surgeons (having served as past president), and the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery.
