Braves Country featuring Buck Belue
Before there was Stetson Bennett, there was Benjamin Franklin “Buck” Belue! Buck Belue famously quarterbacked the Georgia Bulldogs to a 12-0 record in 1980, culminating with a 17-10 win over Notre Dame Jan. 1, 1981 in the Sugar Bowl to give UGA the National Championship! And this year, Buck takes Dawgs Fans on a trip down memory lane with his NEW book, “Inside the Hedges: The Quarterback's Journey to the 1980 National Championship”. The Valdosta, Georgia native also lettered in baseball all four years at Georgia, played three years in the Montreal Expos organization, played pro football in the USFL for the Jacksonville Bulls, and coached at Valdosta State! And since 2000, Belue has been a key sports radio host on 680TheFan. So it’s quite an honor to have him join us today; Buck Belue, welcome to Braves Country!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
