Bill Summers is a New Orleans based Afro-Cuban jazz/Latin jazz percussionist, who plays primarily on conga drums. He played with Los Hombres Calientes through the 90’s, and has since worked behind the scenes on film scores for various movies such as The Color Purple and the television miniseries Roots with Quincy Jones. He played with Herbie Hancock during The Headhunters years, and in this episode you’ll hear all about his incredible life of music and spirituality.
