As will all of Swimrun Portugal’s events, this one looks amazing with warm water swims and views for days. As with most of their events, they have distances for everyone including a kids race, which we love!Our friends at Swimrun del Bilancio recently announced their race date of June 4th for this year’s event. The race takes place in Barberino di Mugello in the Tuscany region of Italy close to Florence. The race offers two distance options, but most importantly, did we mention that this race takes place in Tuscany?In ÖTILLÖ news, the company announced that they are revamping the World Championship points ranking system. Starting this season, the first 30 World Series teams of each category will be awarded with points, where the winning teams will earn a maximum of 60 points. In addition, you can earn 50% of the points by finishing in the top 30s of an ÖTILLÖ Merit Race. Based on all accumulated points that you collect during the 2023 season, the best Swimrunners of the new ÖTILLÖ Ranking will earn a spot for ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship 2024. Besides the podiums of the World Championship in 2023, there will be no direct qualifications for ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship 2024.The ÖTILLÖ Ranking will immediately be implemented but only count for the qualification of ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship 2024. If you still want to qualify for this year's World Championship, you can earn a direct spot at this year's World Series Races, qualify through a ÖTILLÖ Merit Race, or apply for a Race Director Choice as in the past. That’s it for this week.
