Are Husbands Put on the Back Burner after Kids? You Deserve for your Home and Marriage to be your Happy Place!

One thing that really stuck out to me in this episode was how Ruby said that she put college and her career on the back burner so that she could spend a few years really focusing and nurturing her marriage. This made me feel all sorts of ways, on one hand its like- oh my gosh that is so old school and what about equal rights?! On the other hand, is see great value in the advice and taking the time to nurture your family unit- distraction free. With that being said, maybe for me, it is not take a break from business or career, maybe it is: Is there a season where I can put some aspects of career or business on the back burner and give my family the attention and nurture that is needed? Maybe it's not a season, maybe it's a week. Maybe for me it's taking a break from social media from Thanksgiving until New Years to really hone in on my family and breathe life into them. Maybe its deleting certain apps from my phone and when out of habit I am ready to scroll, I instead invest that time into my family. So I encourage you to take a look at the upcoming weeks and ask your self: what can I put on the back burner so that I can take some much needed time to really nurture my family?
