A Bitter Root to Swallow

After a rather eccentric start, with the first chapter of the Fallen Shinigami Chronicles, we get into our comic book bag to review an incredible story, Bitter Root (10:45). This tale covers the Sangerye family in the 1920s as they battle monsters of people who have had their souls corrupted by hatred. This leads into one of our most brutally honest deep dives as we put the jokes aside to discuss black history, the importance of telling certain stories, and the toxic cycle of hatred (42:48). Buckle up because it’s gonna be a wild ride.
