180: BOAT Briefing: What’s in a name? The World Superyacht Award’s venue and superyacht tracking

With some of the team at the Cannes Yachting Festival, this week Caroline and Sophia sit down to discuss the latest news from the superyacht world. They reveal the destination for the World Superyacht Awards in 2024 and talk through some of the big hitters from the October issue of BOAT International. They also discuss the story behind some of the quirkiest yacht names – with vessels named after pets, products and scientists. In the news this week is Royal Huisman’s rebuild of Atlantide,  Feadship’s Project 824, and the latest updates from Sanlorenzo. The data this week uses BOATPro’s AIS Fleet Tracker to snoop on which yachts are in Cannes for the show.
