#11 - From colostomy bag to Ironman - Lloyd Hopes

Release Date:

Today I’m chatting to Lloyd Hopes. In 2010 Lloyd was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. He had 3 big operations to remove his bowel, had a colostomy bag for 18 months and then had a pouch installed inside. The whole episode got him determined to get fitter, healthier and stronger. He took to exercise and has now completed tons of events - including an Ironman and the Bob Brown Cornish Coastal Path, race - which runs 296 miles over 9 days! Lloyd also sadly lost his sister and nephew in a car crash last July - he’s used exercise to help him get throw it and has now entered the Trans Madeira in June.
