It’s happened at least once, whether the person was trying to be intentionally rude or didn't realize how their comment would land. Responding can be hard to navigate. In this episode, Kellie and Mel explore comments they’ve heard from well-meaning people after their weight loss surgery and comments other WLS patients have experienced. They discuss how these words can be hurtful and how to respond without explaining yourself.
