In this episode we WadeOutThere with Nick Thompson from the Finger Lakes Area of New York.  Nick learned how to fly fish on a fiberglass rod, in a warehouse, on his lunch break, after his boss insisted he take some time away from working twelve hour days.  That was after his first kidney transplant. As Nick’s relationship with fly fishing grew and his health began to decline, he started an organization called Saved by the Fly to help spread the word about organ donation and connect others to the sport that had helped him through his illness. Now Nick is healthy again.  On his second kidney transplant, and even more excited to spread the word on how fly fishing helped save his life.
