In today’s program we continue our series on the conservation of humanity, dissecting the chinese corona virus and the massive and unwarranted over-reaction perpetrated by governments around the world.

Joining us today is Nick Hudson, a founder of PANDA - Pandemics Data and Analytics, based in South Africa.  In March 2020, concerned about the long-term effects COVID-19 may have on South Africa, Nick and his associate Peter founded PANDA to provide decision makers calculated data on the virus’ cost on South African livelihoods.

Nick has extensive experience in the financial sector, and while not volunteering his time at PANDA, Nick is a founding partner at SANA Partners, and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Nick has spent a decade at RMB Ventures, four years at Stern Stewart & Co. in New York City, and six years with the the Swiss Re Group.

PANDA is a multidisciplinary group seeking to inform policy. PANDA considers explanations that allow one to accurately asses the human costs of COVID-19 responses globally. PANDA is a collective of leading scientists, actuaries, economists, data scientists, statisticians, medical professionals, lawyers, engineers and businesspeople working as a collective to replace bad science with good science. PANDA members work voluntarily, offering their skillset to contribute to informed policymaking and decisioning. PANDA is not aligned with any political entities and is funded by its members, speaking engagements and the public.
