No matter who you are or what color your skin is, you should have the same rights as the people around you. In times when that isn’t the case, you may want to fight to help the marginalized gain their rights, even if you yourself are part of the group that already has them. Using your privilege to help lift up those who are struggling is always a worthy cause and something can generally be looked upon with admiration.
