How Water Bear Bar Made Boise Home

Kylie North and her wife opened Water Bear Bar just a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. But true to its namesake, the bar has survived and was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from the Human Rights Campaign for their support of Boise’s LGBTQIA+ community. Today, Kylie joins Hey Boise newsletter editor Blake Hunter to talk about what that award meant, the work behind it all, and why Water Bear is the best place to be during the holidays.
