Joyce Ziske Malison looks back on the final years of a relatively short professional career with her highlight being her victory in the 1960 Women's Western Open, then an LPGA major championship, at the Donald Ross-designed Beverly CC on the south side of Chicago, in a playoff with Barbara Romack. Joyce's largest paycheck didn't come until long after she had retired, winning the 52+ division of the inaugural Marilyn Smith Founders Classic and pocketing $10,500. She married in 1961 and transitioned from golf to the family bowling alley business.
