Having A Ball: The Lost Pilot Episode

The hosts discuss the pilot episode of I Love Lucy- commonly known as the Lost Pilot. The premise of the pilot episode centers around what would later become 'The Audition' episode.

They discuss how the set was designed, the guest stars and we had no Fred and Ethel yet- the search for the couple is described and who was originally wanted to play the lovable Mertz neighbors.

The Lost Pilot was a replica of Lucy and Desi's cross country tour to prove to CBS they could pull off an I Love Lucy show with Desi as the husband.

After the pilot, history was made in 1951. We almost didn't have this Lost Episode to review! Find out who had the original film stored away for many many years!
