Moore began the game on the bench behind Ethan Garbers, but Moore outplayed Garbers in his series, and threw a beautiful bomb touchdown to J.Michael Sturdivant in the second half that gave the Bruins some breathing room, up 21-13. Garbers didn't take a fourth quarter snap, with Moore closing out the game.
Defensively, the Bruins were led by safety Kamari Ramsey, edge rusher Laiatu Latu, and linebacker Darius Muasau. Latu finished the game with three sacks, putting him on pace to blow past his stated goal of 15 sacks this season.
The big questions coming out of the game relate to whether UCLA has settled on a starting quarterback. Moore outplayed Garbers, but will that be enough information for Chip Kelly to make the move? We'll find out this week.
