Beatrice enters the renowned city of Durga, home of the Knights. When she arrives she encounters a large crowd. It appears they were expecting her. The mayor leads her to a competition that her “emissaries” have arranged for her. The winner of the competition will be the knight chosen to accompany her on her journey.
