Release Date:

In terms of crazy real estate listings, we thought we'd seen it all. From hobbit houses to converted churches, we have been privy to some truly baffling properties.
But the latest house to make us go "huh?" is a former sheriff's home in Fayette, MO. The two-bedroom, 2,465-square-feet home was on the market (but has since been pulled off the market) for $350,000. Listing photos 1 to 32 depict a perfectly modest midwestern place, but once you reach photo 33 things start to get a little bizarre. It is revealed that the home is attached to nine jail cells!Once this strange (and slightly disturbing-looking) property went viral, we knew we had to get the inside scoop. Why does a fully functional jail exist on this property? What use does a homeowner have for this unique amenity? We answer these questions and more on this episode of "House Party."
