29 - Follow the Leader

FOLLOW THE LEADER EPISODE SYNOPSIS: John, caught in a cave by a rock fall, hears a voice coming from an old sarcophagus. It is the spirit of Canto, a former warrior from the planet Quasti, who wants to take over John’s body and thus live again. The voice tells him that it will gain the possession of his mind bit by bit, until John will be completely under his control. Back with the family, John bewilders them by acting like a ruthless dictator. With Canto using John’s voice, the family are forced to work night and day repairing the spaceship as he plans to return to Quasti in it. When the ship is ready, John, under Canto’s control, imprisons Maureen, Judy and Don in the cave, then wearing a helmet and mask, tricks Smith and Penny into believing he is an alien who will take them to find their father. Only Will isn’t deceived, so Canto makes John take the boy to a steep precipice planning to hurl him over.
