114. The Thing No One Tells You About Entrepreneurship
Over the last few weeks, Iâve had several young entrepreneurs come my way telling me that they think they might give up.Their reason? This is hard, and if itâs hard maybe this isnât their soulâs true path. When I heard this, I tilted my head and said âYou didnât think this was going to be hard?âI was so confused. I started to ask myself, âHave I not done a good job of letting everyone who is watching me know that this thing called âentrepreneurshipâ and âliving your dreamsâ is damn hard?âI get it. I remember the first time I had to pay the monthly tuition for my first childâs private school, I immediately called my dad and said âHow did you do it? And you paid for three private schools!âHe made it look so easy. And Iâm grateful he did, because it was never my burden to carry. But it might have been helpful if he shared with me his losses and how he overcame them so that I wouldnât feel so guilty when I had my own. So in todayâs episode, Iâm going to share some of the hard times Iâve had in business, and how I learned to understand the seasons. I want you to see that business has its seasons. There are bright times, droughts, and times you have to hunker down. But itâs all natural. And you can even learn to predict the weather with time. Listen to todayâs episode!
