I am thrilled to bring you an interview with award-winning painter Susan Lyon. Open and genuine, Susan shared her confidence struggles early in her career. She also gives frank advice on how artists can truly succeed in business, and looks at the life of a professional artist from a wholistic view with a strong spiritual component. Her initial interest in art was sparked by a PBS television show on Georgia O’Keefe, that inspired her to take weekend art classes. Lyon studied art at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and was an active participant in Chicago’s Palette and Chisel Club.
