Ho, ho and, indeed, ho, dear listeners! Welcome to the last One Life Left of the year. Snow and freezing temperatures are no match for us! This week we find out that the latest in the neverending Microsoft/Activision saga sees MS making Xbox smaller, who the Game Award's biggest winners were, a new game related Lego Minifig is spotted in the wild plus a World Cup 2022 update: it will definitely be one of the remaining teams who win. We also have a GOTY breakdown and Alice Curran: Game Designer At Large gives us her top 10 games of the 2022!

Our Super Special Guest this week is Stuart Maine from Well Played Games who talks about his 26 years in games dev, working with Andy McNab, his book on first person shooters (link below!) and what colour his next games will be.

Meanwhile, in our Exclusive Podcast Intro, we talk about what we're doing over the Xmas holidays and try to name what's on Stuart's shelves! Phil the Undercaretaker has definitely not overdubbed himself on this bit due to the audio file going wonky. Honest.
