A rapid burst of good news for the U.S. economy on Friday as the DOW closed above 40,000 for the first time in history, and the opening bell on Monday morning teased indexes on pace for more record highs.
Sparked by a positive CPI report showing inflation cooling off, many are celebrating the positive trend. But with retail sales slowing and a growing trade war with China, is the economy really as strong as the markets suggest?
