Tales from the Hard Side episode 12 is now streaming. In this session we "travel" in the heart of the Balkans, to Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria. We discuss about the political and social changes from WW1 till the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Soviet Union. We continue the chat talking about the first punk bands of 80s, and we focus on the big hardcore movement that started after the mid-90s. This time our friend Aleksandar Boyadzhiev, singer of one of the most famous Sofia's hardcore bands, Last Hope, and iconic figure of the local scene, join us in the conversation sharing important information and behind the scene stories.Το 12ο επεισόδιο του Takes from the Hard Side είναι διαθέσιμο! Σε αυτό το session ταξιδεύουμε στην καρδιά των Βαλκανίων, στην πρωτεύουσα της Βουλγαρίας, την πόλη της Σόφιας. Συζητάμε για τις πολιτικές και κοινωνικές αλλαγές από το Α’ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο μέχρι το τέλος του Ψυχρού Πολέμου και τη πτώση της Σοβιετικής Ένωσης. Στη συνέχεια , αναφερόμαστε στις πρώτες punk μπάντες των 80s, και επικεντρώνουμε το ενδιαφέρον μας στο πολύ μεγάλο hardcore κίνημα που ξεκίνησε μετά τα μέσα των 90s. Αυτή τη φορά, φιλοξενούμενός μας είναι ο Aleksandar Boyadzhiev, τραγουδιστής των Last Hope και πολύ σημαντική φιγούρα της τοπικής σκηνής, ο οποίος μοιράζεται μαζί μας ιστορικές πληροφορίες και άγνωστες ιστορίες από την εξέλιξη της hardcore κουλτούρας στην πόλη.
