Young and the Restless fans are speculating the departure of Faith Newman, played by Reylynn Caster, following a dramatic car crash. The storyline unfolds with Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O'Briant) and Faith involved in a car accident, causing both to end up unconscious in the emergency room. This incident brings back haunting memories for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who lost their daughter, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes), in a similar accident years ago. Sharon, struggling with her mental health, begins seeing hallucinations of her dead daughter and Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), a figure from her troubled past. 
The CBS soap opera sees that despite the suspense revolving around Faith's fate in the show, it is believed that Faith's departure will not be a result of the crash but rather her return to college. With classes at the University of Michigan resuming, Faith is expected to leave Genoa City soon. This departure might give Faith a much-needed break from Lucy Romalotti's (Lily Brooks O'Briant) fixation on her and the turmoil that seems to perpetually surround her family. Meanwhile, the soap's writers, including Josh Griffith, are keeping fans on their toes with this gripping Young and the Restless storyline.
