General Hospital: Kelly Monaco Hits Back at GH over Firing – Save Sam Petition Keeps Growing #gh

General Hospital spoilers earlier reported that Kelly Monaco, who portrays Sam McCall, was fired after two decades on the show. 
This GH spoiler was confirmed and has stirred up outrage among fans who have launched a petition on change.org in an attempt to reverse the decision. Kelly Monaco responded to the controversy by hinting on Instagram that she might reveal behind-the-scenes information about the show. 
Billy Miller's mother also chimed in, suggesting that Monaco's firing was a result of her standing up for her former co-star Billy Miller, who was sidelined and ultimately left the show in 2019. 
Current and former members of the General Hospital cast, including Michael Easton, Kimberly McCullough, and Rebecca Budig, have expressed their support for Monaco. 
However, comments by Maurice Bernard and Laura Wright, who play Sonny Corinthos and Carly Corinthos respectively, were met with some backlash from fans. The storyline for Sam McCall's exit from the show is yet to be revealed, but it's speculated that her character might be killed off to serve as a liver donor for Lulu.
