General Hospital spoilers see Ava Jerome (Maura West) might be entering a new romantic relationship which could drive Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to the brink. Ava has been alone for quite some time with her last romantic encounter being with Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth). The potential man to fill this void and ignite a spark in Ava's life is none other than Sonny's half-brother, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). Soap Dirt's Belynda suggests this pairing would not only create a dramatic storyline but also push Sonny to the edge on the ABC soap opera. 
GH spoilers also indicate that Ava's current lawyer, Rick is helping her fight two cases - one being a custody battle over her daughter Avery Corinthos (Ava & Grace Scarola), and the other defending her from criminal charges. The close professional relationship between the two could potentially turn into a romantic one, especially considering Rick's history with women like Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros).

In other news, the show mourns the loss of actor Ron Hale, who originally played the role of Sonny's dad, Mike Corbin. Hale passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 27th at the age of 78.
