The Past and Present of Hooper Golf Course with Josh Beer

Hooper Golf Course is one of the best nine hole golf courses in the world. Its history is deeply connected with the community of Walpole, New Hampshire, which is a big part of why it survived  financial challenges and the threat of becoming condominiums around 2010. With the help of an environmental easement and Fred Dill's purchase of the land, Hooper remained a golf course. That's where Josh and 25 other locals come into picture. In 2018, they bought the golf course from Fred Dill and have worked over the last three years to return the club to its former glory. It's an inspiring story of people coming together to keep an asset in the community alive. If you're in the northeast, put Hooper on your list of courses to visit.
