La Abogada with Thatiana Roman

Welcome to a brand new episode of the ¿Quién Tú Eres? podcast, where we explore the conflict we often face between "professionalism" & being our authentic selves.  This week, we have the pleasure of speaking with Thatiana Roman.  

Thatiana was born and raised in the Bayside area of Queens, New York to parents from the Dominican Republic. She graduated magna cum laude from Pace University with a Bachelor of arts in communication studies.  

With 10+ years of experience in publishing, Thatiana is currently the editor-in-chief of Remezcla, where she leads editorial strategy, ideation, and execution for the media company, which focuses on the Latine cultural sphere. She joined Remezcla from Refinery29, where she launched the brand’s first Latinx cross-platform channel, Somos. She was also a beauty contributor, producing deeply reported beauty pieces and exclusive celebrity features. She has covered beauty through a wide lens, including product reviews, debunking beauty myths, and igniting conversations on inclusivity and diversity within the industry. Previous work also includes People en Español, where she launched Chica, Meredith's first brand targeting Latina millennials.
