The debate was a three vs. one dogpile: Kamala Harris and both ABC moderators vs. Donald Trump. The moderators fact-checked Trump throughout the debate, interrupted him repeatedly, and never addressed the assassination attempt. Trump approached the debate with a more serious tone than usual because, as he said in an interview after the debate, there’s “nothing to smile about” when you are watching your country be destroyed.
